As much as Charlie Woods is taking over the world with his superb golf skills, the insane pressure that must engulf him is beyond imaginable. However, this is exactly the reason for the conflict between his parents, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren.
Ever since the 2021 PNC Championship, professionals and fans have heavily lauded him for his talent and skills. And as he grows, the surmounting pressure can become too much to handle, which is why his parents are desperate for a solution.
Right now, Charlie might be too young to fully comprehend the influence and domination of his father in the golf world. Similarly, he’s a wee bit too young to grasp what filling Tiger’s massive shoes will entail. Right now, what seems like all glamor will soon reveal the foundation of the intense competition and pressure that it stands on.
Elin doesn’t want Tiger Woods to ‘suffocate’ Charlie
An insider told OK! magazine about the ongoing clash of ideas between the two. They said, “Tiger thinks it would be great for Charlie to have a destiny like his. Tiger isn’t trying to be pushy, he’s just proud of his son and sees a lot of potential in him.” The 15-time major champion’s point of view is completely understandable, since the easiest and most logical way to achieve a goal is to start as early as possible.

However, Elin, Tiger’s ex-wife, and Charlie’s mother, also states a valid point. The insider disclosed, “Elin worries he’s going to suffocate Charlie. She reasons it’s hard enough to be a kid these days without this as added pressure.”
And while she doesn’t “want golf consuming their son’s life,” she will not enforce Tiger’s choices on him and has made that very clear. The insider added, “She concedes that it boils down to what Charlie wants.”
However, the spotlight is all Charlie has ever known. Moreover, pressure is not always a bad thing. In fact, the brightest stars are sculpted in this way. Regardless, as Elin said, his future is a call that Charlie will have to take himself.
